S2 pupil Michael O'Hare will represent Violet Hill's rugby fraternity on Friday at Ravenhill. We wish him well. It was a sunshine filled weekend in London and 4 Violet Hill pupils soaked it up as they participated in London's Mini Marathon with distinction. Peter Murray finished in 20th place at U'13 level, followed by Jack O'Farrell (53rd) and Nial Connell (62nd). Peter Fegan finished 71st in the U'15 race. It was a great achievement to represent Northern Ireland in this prestigious race.

At a beautiful ceremony yesterday in St Theresa's Church, Banbridge many of our pupils received John Paul II awards. Bishop John McAreavey presented the awards and guest speakers were Louise Lenihan (Trócaire) and Grainne Gordon (Diocesan representative who travelled on World Youth Pilgrimage to Rio in Summer 2013 with Trócaire).
