St Colman's College Junior Brass Ensemble performed in SELB Music Service ‘New Starts Parents’ evening’ held in Newry & Area Music Centre, Windsor Hill Primary School on Thursday 20th February. The recital was intended to show parents of children recently introduced to musical tuition what can be achieved with continued practice. The Irish Department, led by Head of Department An tUasal Mac Ruairí, continues to thrive in Violet Hill. Pupils are now preparing diligently for their upcoming GCSE and A Level orals but there is still some time for extra curricular achievement along the way. Pictured is a group of pupils who have been very successful of late. These pupils were recently awarded Scholarships for their chosen Gaeltacht course by Gael Linn, having gone through a rigorous examination process led by Póilín Ní

Eleven students took part in Round 1 of The British Biology Olympiad at the in of February and came away with two gold, one silver, two bronze awards as well as five commendations.

I work as a self-employed Barrister from chambers based in central London. Few people understand exactly what a Barrister does or how the role differs from that of a Solicitor. Barristers are essentially advocates – presenting arguments in court (wearing wigs and gowns) and advising clients on complex legal issues. St Colman's College 1.12 - 1.13 Omagh CBS Our senior side may have lost out today after a titanic struggle with Omagh CBS but we are no less proud of the players and management involved. In a repeat of the first meeting at Quarter Final stage between these teams last Saturday the game was forced to extra time as a result of a never say die determination by both teams. Brock Cup team begin campaign with a win

Mr Mc Evoy and Mr Doyle's Brock Cup charges got their competition off to a decent start, defeating St Mary's CBS, Belfast by 2.13 to 0.9 on Friday at Callanbridge, Armagh. Pictured are some of the Brock Cup panel who were succesful in the Peadar Barry Cup, Mr McEvoy also at the helm.

A Scholastic Book Fair will take place in the library all week where all students will have the opportunity to purchase a wide range of new books at up to half price. This will be followed by a Readathon for Year 8 – 10 pupils starting on Monday 3rd March.
