It has been announced that the College will meet Omagh CBS this Tuesday at 12pm in Emyvale, Co Monaghan In the MacRory Cup Quarter Final replay. Pat Mc Eneaney is to referee the fixture. We wish all those involved good luck.

Omagh CBS 1-12 St Colman’s Newry 1-12 It took two games to separate St Patrick’s Academy and Abbey CBS in the Danske Bank MacRory Cup quarter-finals and it will take two as well to decide another Tyrone v Newry quarter-final. With Spanish being a thriving subject in the College it is no surprise that many of our past pupils have found themselves deciding to study in the beautiful city of Salamanca during their University years. Congratulations to S3 pupil Colum McNally who was a natural whilst appearing on Destination Newry's popular online TV show with Rowan Hand this week. Colum was invited for interview in relation to his Arkwright Scholarship, his recent address to EPGNI at Queens and his AS Design and Technology 'Post Driver' project. Congratulations also to Head of Techology and Design Mr Barton and departmental colleagues who have guided Colum along this pathway so well.

All at the College wish our senior footballers every good fortune tomorrow in the famous GAA surrounds of Clones, Co Monaghan. Our team managed by Mr Murray and coached by Mr Mussen and Mr Sweeney will be hoping for a repeat of the 'never say die' attitude shown v St Ciaran's, Ballygawley in our previous knock out match. The panel of players, guided by their mentors, have trained diligently since September - over holiday periods and on weekends so they deserve any rub of Monaghan green that migh

Our senior footballers will meet Omagh CBS in Clones, Co Monaghan this Saturday at 2pm. A big crowd is expected to travel to the impressive Co Monaghan venue. Our players have graduated to this knock out match by virtue of a hard fought win against St Ciaran's, Ballygawley. We wish Mr Murray, Mr Mussen, Mr Sweeney and team the best.

Canon Jameson puts together Major General Ross Exhibition

Canon Jameson of Kilbroney Church of Ireland, Rostrevor put together an historical exhibition at the request of the Fiddler's Green Festival Committee. The Committee decided on a commemoration of one of their more famous parishioners Major General Ross. The exhibition proved to be a major attraction and of significant interest that the committee decided to open it to a wider audience. The idea was born that it would circulate to local schools to educate students abo

St Colman's College is delighted to announce that it will be the venue once again for Campa Chormaic, An tIúr & Múrna (Campa Chormaic, Newry and Mourne.)
