Murlough Beach visited on Geography Field Trip

The S3 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their fieldwork at the beautiful surrounds of Murlough Beach. Despite some challenging weather the boys had a great educational visit. They also visited the glorious Tollymore whilst on their travels.

Danny O'Neill Ulster Champion

S1 student, Ulster champion and All Ireland finalist, Danny O’Neill, being congratulated by Head of PE, Mr Murray on his achievements. Danny secured a place on the Ulster high performance team spending 5 days training in Italy in July where he beat the Italian champion.

Midnight Memory Walk Launched

Laura from Southern Area Hospice called in today to launch the Midnight Memory Walk. Some of our Senior Prefect Team were delighted to take part in the Photo Call. The fundraising walk will take place on Sat 24th Sept. We are delighted to sponsor the 6 mile marker. The event will start and finish at Violet Hill.

St. Colman’s College staff, students, parents and guardians are very proud of the excellent achievements of Year 12 Violet Hill students in their GCSE examinations. As a result of their determination, hard work and commitment, outstanding GCSE results have been achieved by individual students and the year group. 47% of all grades obtained were A*/A, 77% were A* - B with 98% of students achieving 7 or more A* - C grades including English and Maths.
