We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Martin Walsh. Esteemed Past Pupil and long time supporter of Violet Hill. Pictured here at an All Ireland Cross Country Celebration in September 2013 with Olympic Gold Medalist Mary Peters. Martin was Captain of the first team to get to a MacRory Cup Final - 1945. Martin is the lead in “Pirates of Penzance” 1945. Martin was a very acclaimed singer. Martin captained the VHC athletics team to 3 consecutive Ulster titles in a row, 1944,

Dr Francis Lively from AFBI visits

A big thank you to Dr Francis Lively from AFBI (Agri Food and Biosciences Institute NI) for talking to the BT Young Scientists Sé and Anton about their research project. The two boys have put a huge amount of work into their project 'Recycling Nutrients' for this prestigious competition. All this could not be done without the hard work of their Mentor Mrs Crowl.
