On Sunday April 14, the traditional group of St Colman's College gained second place and an excellent 93 marks for their performance in Class 132A – Senior Group (Secondary School) of Newry Musical Feis Traditional Music Section. The auditorium of the Seán Hollywood Arts Centre was filled to capacity for the final competition of a great day of music-making. S4 Irish students had a very enjoyable day at Magee College on the 12th of April 2013 when they attended a series of lectures on aspects of Irish Literature. The conference gave the students some keen insights into aspects of the texts they are studying and which will be assessed on the Unit 2 Paper very shortly! Welcome back to one and all, thankfully the weather has begun to be a little kinder to us! This term is where its at folks and the next few months are going to have a huge bearing on the rest of your life, if you are in an examination class especially. Remember to devise your study timetable this week if you have not already done so. It's time to knuckle down and study hard so you have no regrets come August time when the results are processed.
