The Oisín McGrath panel for 2020-21 gathered today for their official photogragh for the Violet Hill wall. This team was Managed by Mr McLaughlin and Mr O'Neill and whilst the final was never played due to Covid-19 the team still rightfully take their place on the wall as they were presented as joint winners of this prestigious Ulster Schools competition.

A novel approach to Sports Day is a huge success

Head of Physical Education Mr Murray spoke on Thursday 10th June to formally bring the Sports Day celebrations to a close. In his closing address to the S1 pupils he extended a very warm thanks to them all for the way in which they engaged with the track and field and games events. He also pointed out that a really positive attitude had been evident throughout the entire week by pupils. S4's enjoy final event as Violet Hill pupils

The S4 pupils enjoyed a memorable leaving event at the College last Friday. The event began with a Prayer service in the College Chapel organised by the RE Department. Music was organised by Miss Frame and KS5 Coordinator Mr O'Hare began proceedings by formally welcoming all in attendance. Dáire is a pupil of past-pupil Mr Colm Murphy, Organist at St Patrick’s RC Cathedral, Armagh. Dáire also reached the NI Young Musician of the Year final (for piano). After a lengthy absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic our pupils have all returned to 46 Armagh Road. Covid-19 protocols are in place to help keep everyone safe. We are very impressed at how resilient our pupils have been and we wish all of them well in the coming weeks, particularly those who are preparing for assessments. Beir bua.
