Vote for your Representative in the United Kingdom Youth Parliament:
The United Kingdom Youth Parliament has recently opened up its elections to young people in Northern Ireland. From the 7th February to the 7th March, you will have the opportunity to vote for a representative to promote the views of you and your friends in the constituency of Newry and Armagh.
We are delighted to announce that two of the candidates are students who have entered through the school, Gavin Fleming, Conor Fegan and Matthew Carroll. They are campaigning on subjects very close to the hearts and minds of young people today and we are happy to give them all the support and assistance that they deserve.
As such, the school will organise a session for each class in the ICT suites so that they may have the opportunity to participate in the elections. This is a perfect time for students to engage in issues of politics and citizenship which will be essential in later life.
