On a bright and sunny morning at Violet Hill, the newest pupils of St Colman’s College arrived full of excitement and anticipation for their first day. The induction day provided an opportunity for the boys to settle into their new surroundings, meet their teachers, and begin making new friendships. With many pupils joining from primary schools across neighbouring counties, the College was filled with fresh faces, eager smiles, and a strong sense of community.
As the day progressed, the students took part in a range of induction activities designed to help them feel at home in the college. Laughter and conversation echoed around the grounds as pupils got to know one another and shared stories about where they had come from. The warm sunshine added to the welcoming atmosphere, allowing everyone to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Violet Hill while beginning their journey as members of the St Colman’s family.
A highlight of the day was the celebration of Mass, where pupils, staff, and families gathered together to mark the beginning of a new chapter. The Mass provided a moment of reflection, thanksgiving, and hope for the years ahead. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a barbecue in the sunshine, creating a relaxed and friendly environment where new friendships continued to grow. It was a memorable start to VHC life and one that set the tone for a happy and successful future at St Colman’s College.
